Dona Sardinha is, without a doubt, one of the best vegan restaurants I've ever visited! The creativity and flavor in every dish are exceptional. The fried vegetable balls, the Rustic Fries with shredded “Meat”, Caju Sauce and Pico de Gallo are delightful, and the burgers are simply divine.
I recently celebrated my sister’s birthday here, and we were thrilled with the experience. Chef Luísa Ferreira, the heart and soul behind Dona Sardinha, made a spectacular birthday cake for us. It was a joy to reconnect with Luísa, who is a true force of nature.
This restaurant is a culmination of her passion and dedication, and it truly shows in every aspect.
The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, and the service is outstanding. The menu is thoughtfully curated with seasonal ingredients and a focus on natural, locally sourced products.

Read moreThe best plant-based restaurant in #portugal we have discovered! I am serious! If you pass by #Luso, you must visit this restaurant and a cute park. An absolute gem! Our non-vegetarian boys loved it, in fact we visited twice today. It is the best plant based burger he has ever tried (our 11y old meat lover said). The highest compliment! Special thanks to Snr Sandro, amazing chef Dona Luisa and the crew. We bought chef Luisa's book too. Cannot recommend enough! If you are in the area, promise me to visit here, whether you are vegetarian or not. This place is facing a beautiful park and pond with mulberry trees (lots of berries in May and June). Please don't miss this gem. Price quality! Top notch. Please open a restaurant in Sintra, I will help run it! -2024
Update: 2025. After a year we returned, still great. More interior plants and more cosy and...
Read moreit turns out that even if a table is free, reserved tables are served first. and you, mister, have to wait until everyone has eaten 🤣🤣🤣. very bad.
You wrote everything correctly and I agree with you. But your waitress didn't even want to take our order. We are traveling and we don't know where we will stay, so we can't make a reservation. Now go ahead, close your doors and hang up a sign "advance reservation only", then we won't come to you. We would have waited and eaten, but they didn't want to take our order. Or do you also have a reservation for ordering food? And don't write to me about politeness, ok. We behaved very politely. Good night and good luck in the...
