Rosa Biscoito Luso — Restaurant in Mealhada

A bit of long wait for chips which should have arrived with meals but we'll worth waiting as they were delicious. Only quibble with my meal was egg white was not cooked enough with the Philly cheese, advocado and egg tosta but all meals were good and desert apple cake ,(I had custard Ice cream with it as extrA,) was very good portion and good amount of apple. All in all a worthwhile visit and will come again as beautiful decor, gift shop...

We tried to steal the cook, but her big strong husband didn't allow us to take her 😄 Amazing cakes. Kind and friendly staff. Beautiful place. Great tea selection. A must visit, on your way through town! We thought of spending an extra night there, just to eat more cakes. 😀

If you are tourists, please be sure that they will make you feel that you are not welcomed! We have travelled a lot and never met so much racism toward tourists. They turned their back when they saw my husband, my 2 year old daughter and I coming and immediately told us they did not speak english (their menu is written in Portuguese and English, not so logical). We have tried to communicate but they did no effort at all. Please remind that we are humans after all and that we cannot manage all languages but if we make all an effort, we still can communicate.

Nous n’avons jamais été aussi mal reçus que dans ce restaurant. Les serveurs ont tourné le dos quand ils ont vu qu’on était des touristes pour ne pas nous accueillir. Aucun effort de communication à part « no english ». Les plats ne sont pas exceptionnels mais ça, passe encore. En revanche, le rejet total des touristes est inacceptable.
