Carruagem Luar da Barra — Restaurant in Oeiras

Not a bad place to stop and have a bite to eat. The restaurant is located in a great spot with a view of the old fort and beach. There was a bit of a chill so the staff put a patio heater out which added to the ambiance.

The staff were friendly, if a little busy. They were eager to please however the guy did get our order slightly mixed up and the sweet potato chips came out cold.

The burgers we had were tasty although gave me the old impression you get when looking from the McDonalds menu of a fine, delicious looking burger and then getting a tired, slightly less fruity version. It looked hastily thrown together. That said it was nice… just nice.

I have to admit this place does great cocktails. Big, strong and full of flavour. If nothing else I’d go here for a great tasting drink!

Would I eat there again? Yes. Will I rush back there? With so many other appealing options around I’d probably try somewhere else first.

We dined in the outside patio. It was a very full night, and while the waiters were a bit understaffed (it took a bit to get t order) we had a lovely experience, the food was very good, we got burgers and cuttlefish and fries, and overall we spent less than €20 each. I was ordering food several times at this place and i can say that the food tastes amazing and the prices are also very good and affordable. But there is one thing about service, sometimes they are bringing the food very fast but sometimes i had to wait quite long time.
