Still by far the best restaurant if you want to taste Portuguese cooking at it's very best in Olhão. This is the place to come. I had the Dourado.. my wife had the grilled rabbit. Absolutely terrific. Simple Portuguese cooking by a very competent chef at it's very best with a welcoming smile. Get there early..... it's a very busy restaurant. Serves a complete meal Prato do dia: bread, olives, wine, choice of main course, dessert and coffee and a shot of liqueur for only €9.00. Meat, fish, chicken and pasta selections. This is where locals go to for lunch, so you must follow because they know what’s good!!

Hands down the best lunch and authentic dining experience we had! Grilled chicken was juicy, perfectly seasoned and just pure delicious. We had this dish at a few places in Porto and Algarve and this one tops them all.

We also had the grilled fish, tasted like the fishermen caught it that morning and it was on my plate by lunch time. I eat a lot of fish so when it’s fresh I know.

Lunch included bread, olives, main course, dessert, wine and coffee for an incredible price of €8 per person!!

Totally authentic. Be there 5 min before 12 when it opens officially. Full to the last sest in a few minutes. Local work men mainly restricted to the lunch break time. Definetly no tourists (wouldn't even find it) but popular too for foreigners who live on olhao some tome of the year or all the time. Plenty to drink and good sized portions. I always have the fish dishes (all simple but excellent). No frills and unbeaten prices. Love the place and come here many years, never a failure. One of the last non rip off real olhao restaurants.
