Bar Java House — Restaurant in Peniche

Really cute spot right in the heart of Peniche. Huge coffee / latte menu, and even bigger gin and tonic menu (two giant pages of options). My cappuccino was delicious!

Nice interior - stylish, music at a great volume for atmosphere but not too loud to talk. Comfortable place to sit and relax.

The staff were super attentive, very nice. Every drink that came away from the bar looked great.

Prices were very reasonable. I was expecting a premium priced menus given location and atmosphere, but that wasn’t the case.

Drinks were fine but which place doesn’t accept cards payments these days? Had to walk to two different ATMs since some were broken. They state that the venue has to pay for the fee of card payments. When people order coffee of 1,5 euros I’d understand but the average transaction size is way above 10 euros at this place. Waiters were rude once they were confronted about their payment policy.
