Restaurante Katekero I — Restaurant in Peniche

This is the fastest review I ever wrote. What a terrible restaurant. The chef and entire staff show 0 love in the food that come out of that kitchen. Starters: cold soup, the clams lacked flavor, the mussels were good. Main dishes: octopus cold served, but burned and had to chew like it was bubblegum. Red snapper: was bitter because of the fully burned fish, the sardines were the best of the 3 main dishes, also burned but got a 6/10. We got French fries that were undercooked. Every change of course, they would try to fit everything on the table instead of clearing the table first. I would not advice this restaurant to anybody. If the owner ever reads this, you have a nice location in a town that should be known for fresh, delicious Portugese dishes, but now you have a restaurant that produces really bad dishes, and nobody would be...

Well presented restaurant, good service and fresh fish! I went there with my friends to celebrate my last night in Peniche and had this big dish to share, which is definitely enough for thee people, freshly cooked and tasty. The only downside, I don't know if it's the same everywhere in Portugal, be careful cause they are really into their up selling, they bring you stuff to nibble on, which if they do anywhere else it's because it's complementary, but here it isn't, so if you do eat, be aware you'll be charged! (around 12th September 2023) From outside this place looks nice. After sitting at our table we found somethings were weird. The starters on the table didn't look fresh - had been sitting there for a long time. Some of the food on our neighbors tables wasn't on the menu.. and so on. I quickly checked the Google reviews.
