In the heart of bustling, touristy Peniche, where every establishment vies for attention with bright signs, lies a true gem – Jazzie cafe. This isn't just another place you pop into for a quick bite; it's a quiet island of calm and genuine taste that you don't immediately recognize, but feel subconsciously, as if you've found something very personal. Here, they don't strive to impress with elaborate dish names or excessive luxury. Instead, the focus is on something far more valuable – the purity of taste and the impeccable freshness of ingredients. It is precisely this simplicity, bordering on perfection, that is Jazzie's greatest achievement. It's like knowing that making something elementary perfectly is the hardest thing to do. And here, they know how. Each dish is a harmonious combination where nothing is superfluous, and every ingredient unfolds to its fullest. The service deserves special praise. The Jazzie team are not just waiters, but true enthusiasts who live for their work. Their politeness, attention to detail, and genuine desire to make your visit special create an atmosphere where you feel like a welcome guest, not just another tourist. And, of course, one cannot fail to mention their wine – it's simply wonderful, perfectly complementing this gastronomic story. Jazzie is more than a cafe. It's a place where taste, atmosphere, and people intertwine into a single whole, leaving behind a warm feeling of harmony. If you're looking for something real amidst the tourist hustle and bustle, I sincerely recommend dropping by. It's that "hidden gem" you want to tell your friends about, but at the same time, subtly keep secret so it remains...

This is by far the best food I’ve experienced in Portugal, and possibly one of the best meals I’ve had in my life actually. Everything was fantastic. The mussels were made to perfection, the broth was so flavourful and complimented the mussels so well.
The tuna steak dish was also exquisite, and everything was curated to precision and perfection. It is evident that each dish has been made with such passion and care, and thought to how all the flavours and accoutrements fit perfectly. The burrata salad was unreal too, my partner loved everything about that dish and couldn’t stop talking about the mussels.
Wine was great, the dessert(s) were excellent too, we had to try the chocolate mousse, the cheesecake AND ordered an espresso. Truly such a great dining experience, so thank you again.
We chatted to the chef for a while who clearly cared so much and gave us a nice shot of fortified wine (moscatel) to finish our night; that was really special and it has made our trip to Portugal so memorable.
Thank you to all, we loved everything about that...
Read moreProbably the only 10/10 dining experience I would say I've had. The server was incredibly welcoming, made the most unique sangria I have ever had the pleasure of drinking (it contains 4 different types of alcohol)
I ate the Bacaulhau, which was served with potato. It was the most juicy, succulent fish I've had for my entire trip to Europe. It's not just the quality of the fish either, the chefs truly care about the dishes they serve, and there was nothing more heart-warming than looking up to see the chef checking in to see if I was enjoying the dish. To the chef, I hope your love for your craft continues on forever. For desert I had key lime pie, which was the perfect portion size to top off the meal, and was presented immaculately with the ideal balance of sweet and sour with the addition of whipped cream for additional sweetness and and touch of lime to top it off
To top it off, the music was the perfect volume, and the small bar area gave an atmosphere of elegance and warmth.
To top it off, somehow Jazzie managed to one of the most affordable dining experiences I've had on my month long trip through Europe so far. I paid 21 euro for my main dish...
