Rooftop Bar - Octant Hotel — Restaurant in Ponta Delgada

We decided to grab a cocktail at this lovely rooftop bar at the Octant Hotel. It was a great setting, overlooking the marina and the ocean. We grabbed a table near the window to take in the atmosphere. Our server was very friendly and helpful. We ordered two cocktails that were delicious, perfectly balanced and presented beautifully. My girlfriend also had to try their house made passionfruit gelato which was delicious and refreshing. The texture was silky smooth and the passionfruit flavour really stood out. My party of 4 did not have a good experience here. We just wanted a round of cocktails but the service was unbelievably slow and not good. It took forever for them to come to our table, take our drink order, then it took like 45 minutes for them to make us 4 cocktails. It was not busy. The herbalist cocktail was pretty good, but the other two were watered down. I think the bartender made the first one and it just sat there with the ice melting while she finished the rest so it was basically a €12 flavored water. If you visit Azores, you have to visit this bar. The WW BAR TEAM is amazing. They are always smiling and live what they do. Our son asked us consistently if the bar was open, so he could have the famous strawberry milkshake that Tarinny and Margareth made him. So special!

Every night at our stay, we would visit the bar to enjoy the view and company of the WW Team! This included Margareth, Tarinny, Hugo, Andre, and Fabiana.
