This is our first visit to Sao Miguel from US. We found this restaurant while strolling along the Ponta Delgada harbour. We were craving for some Chinese food and Japanese sushi. Therefore, we ordered three Chinese dishes and some sushi and really enjoyed them that we came back the next day. The ingredients they used were very fresh and the food was delicious. It is on par with the excellent Chinese food that I have in the US. The best thing is that it opens at 5:30 PM for dinner which suits us schedule so well. The European eats late and we are so glad to find one restaurant opens early and serves wonderful food. We did not try the buffet but the food looked tasty and is in great variety. The good: Loved the portion to price ratio, would never get that much sushi for this money in mainland Europe! Great quality sushi, tasty and fresh. Went there 3 nights straight - liked it so much. Tip: order from the menus, not the buffet - end up paying less, getting served quickly and get access to a greater variety of food. The not so good: Buffet is not replenished often enough and overal varierty there is limited, hence go for the menue. The curious: Even though it's supposed to be a sushi place... you find out it's full of Chinese and Japanese decorations, for your average consumer it won't matter but for me it took away from the "authentic" experience, an awkward combination.
