Restaurante Tasca Morais — Restaurant in Portimão

Knowing how popular this restaurant is we called in to make a booking but we were offered a table that had become vacant and gladly accepted, the service is typically Portuguese straight to the point, no familiarities- sit down, order, and be prepared for one of most unforgettable meals you have tasted. Very acceptable house white, the usual couvert of tuna pate,olives,carrot salad and bread followed by an amazing plate of seabass fillets, vegetables and homemade chips and to cap it all off- fig,carob and almond tart WOW WOW!! Obviously booked again...

This was our favourite restaurant during our stay in Alvor. Delicious, honest and authentic food served in a simple setting - big portions and priced very reasonably. We loved it so much we ate there five times! In particular the Portuguese steak and clams cataplana were incredibly flavoursome. It's a bit warm in the restaurant as it only has ceiling fans and no air conditioning - so it's worth coming a bit later in the day or bringing your own fan! Would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for authentic, home cooked...

Great service, the waiters are extremely friendly and I was delighted with the service. We were served by a lovely man and I was extremely pleased with how much he cared about us.

We couldn't get a table another day, and decided to come back the following day and our server remembered us.

The food is great value, good quality and I felt not pressured to order quickly. I could relax and enjouly my time instead.
