We visited Portimao and found a great Peruvian restaurant. This little gem did not disappoint. The owners are from Peru and the husband is a trained chef. They use imported Peruvian products for their food so the flavors are authentic and super delicious. We had ceviche de pescado, lomo saltiado, arroz de mariscos, and chicharon de pota. This restaurant puts a huge emphasis on freshness, and you could see and taste it. I had the classic fish ceviche and lomo saltado. Both were outstanding, but the ceviche, in particular, was the best I’ve had in a long time (and I regularly eat ceviche at various places). The owners are incredibly nice people who genuinely care about making sure you feel comfortable as a guest, not just as part of their service.
