A really good burger is hard to come by in Portugal. I have found that in general the beef in Portugal seems to lack the flavor of good beef we have experienced elsewhere. Perhaps it's a lack of aging, or simply just not the right seasoning. For burgers the texture of the meat can be a negative, not a coarse grind but really fine.
At Burgers & Beer they do a pretty good job replicating a good o'l American burger. Good flavor and texture, creative combinations, and perfectly cooked. The vast beer selection is a plus too. We sampled the Onion Rings, Beyond meat burger, and the Sao George burger with caramelized onions and cheese from the Azores.
