Bistro Italiano — Restaurant in Portimão

I give 2 stars for the food which was lovely, however, the waiting staff need to go to charm school their manner was awful, customer service I think is a foreign concept here. Be warned we were given bread and water upon arrival which carries a charge per person, this is not complimentary as we believed as it was just put on the table, we found it ridiculous that we got charged for both of us when my friend was gluten intolerant and had ordered gluten free so she didn't/ couldn't eat the bread. Also the water is charged to your bill. The wait for food was outrageously long, nearly an hour we sat there. Prices were ok, not terrible. I did find the addition of a pet scuttling round the floor a bit off putting, I don't usually dine with roaches. All in all not recommended. There are much nicer restaurants along...

We began our evening with a confusing drinks order resulting in them not having half of what we ordered despite being charged for everything we had asked for which they didn’t have. The food came out extremely staggered whilst we enjoyed a spectacular episode of Big Bang Theory on the tv. The food was adequate and cannot be faulted other than the price. We then began to pay for our meal noticing we had been charged for drinks they 1. did not have 2. we did not receive. Rather than getting a refund for all of what we didn’t receive we got a measly €5 note. Alongside all of this the toilet sensor for the lights lasted a mere 5 seconds and when using 1 ply toilet roll i would suggest at least 10 seconds. Couldn’t cook a steak!! My partner had goats cheese starter which was tasty tbh, i had mushrooms bruschetta reheated bland mushrooms with 0 seasoning on dry bread nothing else very poor, kids had pizza (poor), lasagna and burger they were fine my partner had a big Caesar salad which was nice , I ordered the ribeye steak med/ rare it came with mix veg and suate potatos the steak was completely dry and over cooked and grey sent it back only to receive a steak that was literally just sealed stone cold and raw once again said it and all i got was a shrug of the shoulders and sorry that’s it very disappointing staff couldn’t care less and did nothing to rectify I didn’t bother ordering anything so paid 100€ for 4 people and didn’t even eat,...
