Chef Malik Italian Halal — Restaurant in Portimão

Was in Portimao for a 5 day holiday. Came across Chef Malik restaurant on Google and on Tripadvisor. Decided to dine at Chef Malik as it was 100% Halal.

I must say, we didn’t have a reservation but took a chance to dine at the restaurant. We were greeted with the owner/manager Asif and what a superstar he was. He made us feel as if we were at home and instantly found his hospitality overwhelming. The staff are a real asset to the restaurant. We have a child with Special Needs which he had the upmost respect for us and staff were very respectful and had patience with us. They catered for all our needs

Most importantly, the food was spot on. Great variety of Italian, Indian and Portuguese style food and 100% halal. Good value price wise !!! I would recommend the Italian dishes and the grill food on offer.

Upon conversing with Asif, he built a great rapport with us and he mentioned he was a chef at Jaffars restaurant in Preston Lancs which is a great restaurant. This is what inspired him to open a halal restaurant in Portimao.

Location is around about 3km from the main tourist spot in Portimao so you need to drive or grab a taxi to dine in. They also offer a takeaway service whereby food can be delivered to the hotel/apartment/villa

The only halal place next to our hotel! The owner is amazing, the first day we visited he made us our meal and gave us meat biryani on the house which tasted so delicious! Excellent food, grilled mix meat, was tender, tasty, can’t really complain about taste, as it had all the right flavours. My family also had burger, Sheen kebab, and Italian dishes pasta, they also enjoyed their food and said they would recommend too. I would definitely recommend this place.
