Subject: Complaint and Review Regarding Discriminatory Service
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service provided at your restaurant this evening. The restaurant opened at 18:00, we are the first customers seated, but my party was not given adequate attention. We had begun to review the menu when a couple arrived. The gentleman from that couple initiated a conversation with the waiter in Portuguese, questioning why he wasn't identified as Korean. From that moment on, all attention from the waiter was directed towards the couple, including taking their orders, serving their drinks, and delivering their dishes promptly. Despite our presence since 18:09, but until now, is 19:00, we had only received one order of dumplings while the couple had already been served all their dishes. Additionally, during our time at the restaurant, a mother with a baby stroller arrived, requested her takeout order, and left promptly. It was evident that the service prioritized certain customers over others. This discriminatory treatment is unacceptable. It is disheartening to experience such differential treatment in a place that should provide equal service to...
Read moreCute, tiny Korean food restaurant. And it's actually Korean, not just some altered version to make it recognisable to people with no experience with Asian flavour. This is as close to authentic Korean as I've seen here. Very much like highly-praised Korean cafes and restaurants in Toronto, for example. You can tell the people behind it are dedicated to making genuine Korean food and customers will appreciate it. Japchae is especially good, but I am weak for good tteokbokki as well.
I just wish the menu was bigger! More items would be even better. This isn't to say there isn't much to choose from, because there is a variety. They have a limited menu, which, weirdly, is given to you on an iPad. (I'd personally rethink that idea. It's clunky and easily broken by a clumsy customer.)
But we've been here a handful of times always to get our Asian food fix. K-bob is consistent and reliable. And open all afternoon, no silly "siesta" here. It's a godsend when we're starving at 2pm.
Every dish has been prepared and presented with careful attention. The flavours are good. And they have a selection of Korean pop as well.
I hope this place stays around for...
Read moreAs two Korean-Americans who badly needed some spice…we were SO thrilled to find this place in Algarve. We drove 30 minutes to go and it was more than worth it! We ordered 4 dishes between the two of us and while the portions were pretty big, we finished most of it because it was that good. Highly recommend the Kimchi Jiggae and the Bulgogi, which really hit the spot, but the kimchi gimbap and Ddukbokki were good too. Will probably be back again before we leave to try the...
