Rocha Azul — Restaurant in Portimão

I wanted a small portion of food for lunch, but since they didn't have a lunch menu, I asked if I could order a spaghetti bolognese from the children's menu, and they said no problem at all, however when I got the check, they charged me for a full portion, and I complained, but they just made a big scene and they said it's just for children and that I've to pay full price for a "big" portion. Several waitresses came over to our table and started yelling at us, so I just paid it and walked, but it's really bad service and I guess it made a really bad expression to the other guest there as well. Food was tasteless as well. I also visited this place last year, and I ordered a burger, and I waited for it more than 1 hour, and eventually I asked where my food is, and it was left on the kitchen counter for like 45 mins, so it was cold when I got it. We've only had drinks and snacks here, and not a full meal, but it's a lovely place to visit. It's right on the beach with great views, but it can get busy, particularly at lunch time. The drinks are reasonably priced, especially for a beach bar, and the snacks are good. The service is very friendly and they went out of their way to help my teenage daughter connect to the wifi (which was a huge emergency according to my daughter). Shrimp and clam pasta:5/5 surpringly very delicious! Very flavorful.

Tuna sandwich: ⅖ dry tuna, added my own mayo. Sad sandwich.

Kids fish sticks: ⅗ better than McDonald’s fish o filet!

Granite: ⅘ tropical was refreshing and not overly sweet.

Grilled sardines: 5/5 very very tasty. Watch out for the bones!
