This is where all the cool kids come for breakfast. Don’t you want to be a cool kid, too? This place is owned and run by a lovely couple from Cork named Gary and Val, along with their boxer, Woody. He’s the goodest of boys and is very friendly with other dogs and children. This is probably the most dog-friendly restaurant I’ve ever been to, so stop here on your way to the beach to start your day of adventure right.
Your host is Gary, who will banter as much or as little as you like while bringing you a delicious specialty coffee or a fresh smoothie or an ice cold beer. His wife, Val, is a goddamned treasure and is the chef. Check with Gary about her specials and often you can catch some Irish stew or homemade carrot cake. If you’re after more of a classic breakfast flavor combination, try the avocado toast with soft, buttery scrambled eggs on top or the gorgeous açaí bowl. If you’re one that appreciates interesting sandwiches, I’ve tried literally every one on the menu with meat and I’d recommend any of them. You can’t miss with any of Val’s creations. She arranges each layer so you have a bite of every ingredient; the last bite is just as perfect as your first bite. Save room for dessert, because Val is as excellent a baker as she is a cook. Something interesting is always in the dessert rotation here, so save a little room for a sweet treat with your coffee :)
Do your taste buds a favor and stop by Wild’s. The company is cheerful, the portions are perfect, the flavors are incredible, and the prices are cheap as chips. What more could...
Read moreI've been looking for little spots like this in the Algarve for a while now. Chill, cosy atmosphere to simply sit down for a while and enjoy delicious food.
The breakfast bagel is absolutely delicious - soft scrambled eggs that melt in your mouth in a perfect combination with crispy bacon and some sort of creamy butter that unites the bagel to the filling in a truly wonderful taste experience. I was absolutely conquered, and I'm not even into bagels! Definitely worth it and surprisingly good.
They have an interesting menu ideal for breakfasts, brunches and light lunches, with a good selection of sandwiches, bagels, healthy bowls, hot drinks, juices and others. Vegan and gluten-free options included!
The staff was friendly and open to conversation, laid back but polite and quick to take our order and make us feel comfortable. The space itself is small but cosy, it took me back to the type of vegan cafés and shops I used to go to in the UK and that I missed having around in Portugal.
I will definitely come back and I am so happy I found this place! If you're thinking about whether you should give it a try, please do - you...
Read moreMy wife and myself have been staying in Torralta for many years, and have tried most of the local eating places, except Wilds so we both thought it high time to rectify the situation. Suffice to say, we have now called in twice in the last week , as the food is out of this world, freshly prepared wholesome and delicious, with the menu having something for everyone Great coffee and desserts for those with a sweet tooth, make Wilds a definite go to, if you wish to try something a little different in Alvor. Reading some of the other, reviews some comments, were made in regards to price and waiting time, how did we find those? Well whilst there are more cheaper places to Wilds, none imo comes close, to the freshness and quality of the food we had here, so we found it great value for money and whilst you can wait a little on the food ,its only because the preparation and attention to detail is so thorough. Valrie and Gary are clearly passionate about what they do, and all in all its a pleasent dining experience, we will most...
