Steak and Potatoes Au Gratin with Mixed Vegetables
I recently had the opportunity to try a dish of steak and potatoes au gratin with mixed vegetables, and I was blown away by how delicious it was. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the potatoes were so creamy and flavorful. The mixed vegetables added a nice touch of freshness and crunch.
The dish was also very well-seasoned. The steak had a nice sear, and the potatoes were perfectly seasoned with salt, pepper, and garlic. The mixed vegetables were also seasoned perfectly, and they complemented the steak and potatoes perfectly.
The presentation of the dish was also top-notch.
Overall, I was very impressed with the steak and potatoes au gratin with mixed vegetables. It was a delicious and satisfying meal that I would definitely recommend to anyone.

Read moreI have to say it is with a heavy heart I have to leave such a negative review. Porto has so many lovely restaurants and we made a poor choice with Somos. First off this would have been a 1 Star review had the waiter not apologised when we asked for the bill. Here we go...
90mins we were in the restaurant for 1 course
Main course of Chimichuri Steak for two left us hungry and we had to order extra fries - which then took another 20 minutes
Steak was warm and not hot and the chimichuri was more a garlic oil - no chili and limited garlic and herbs
We ordered vegetables and these were equally small in portion and lacking in heat
The staff did explain they were thin but no more than 10 tables (spread so far away from the kitchen 3 even with Covid distancing) did make it look like they had to walk more around the restaurant rather than taking care of the guests.
Overall it was just disappointing and at 50 plus Euros for one course and felt like a hotel restaurant with no reason to excel anymore. My advice - uber into the city and go to a family run small restaurant. No idea how the reviews are so positive and highly...
Read moreI am giving a 1 star because I can’t give a 0. The place was pretty luxurious and cozy but apart from that and the service, everything else was just unacceptable. First of all the restaurant was quite empty, but they had us waiting approx. 1 hour for the main course. One of the things ordered was the picanha (a type of red meat)it was 39 euro for 500g, which is not cheap. The meat came well cooked but for the price the quality was worse than those bought in any supermarket. It was very hard meat, very difficult to cut and chew. The rice was hard, maybe even uncooked to a certain point. The pasta was flavorless hence we left most of it uneaten. Really unsatisfied with the expirience. We ended up paying 130 euro between 5 people. For this kind of money, the expirience has to be much better for costumer and the quality of food has to be taken up a notch. Only 2 decent things ambiance...
