We loved it so much that we had to go two days in a row! Octapus and mussels are the best we've ever tasted anywhere... Fish is fresh ,we tried tuna and scabbared fish. I had never tasted scabbered fish before ,the texture is very much like cod. It was nice but I preferred tuna. We also tried spetada which is pieces of beef on skewers. It was undone for my taste but they ask if you want it cooked further. Try the garlic bread it's amazing.we also tried their home made mango pudding which was nice but nothing amazing. All in all the best seafood experience for hubby as he's a big seafood fan. For me food was fresh and service was friendly and fast. I recommend with no hesitation. One more thing. Fish dishes come with boiled potatoes, rice and some boiled veg. Meat dishes come with fries and salad therefore no need to order side dish. You will not leave this...

We visited this restaurant recently and was somewhat disappointed. The first thing that struck me was the lack of service, which, I apologize, was practically non-existent. We waited for about 15 minutes without receiving any attention from the waitstaff. We had to take the menu ourselves, which was a bit inconvenient.

After ordering vegetable soup, octopus, and limpets, I was hoping for a culinary delight, but I had mixed impressions. The soup was very plain, without any special spices or a distinctive flavor. The octopus looked very appetizing, but, unfortunately, it didn't impress in terms of taste.

We were recommended by a local person to visit this restaurant if we liked seafood. After seeing all reviews as well our expectations were high.We drove from Funchal to get here just to try them out. We got very disappointed. First, the restaurant was empty. After being seated, still took more then 10 min to be asked what we wanted to drink and handed a menu. After making a choice we were told twice that our choice was not available. Our third choice however was ‘disappointing’. The fish was not really worth the trip and the octopus was returned because it was so stiff and un chewable. Only the schrimp starter was OK.
