Barca Delta — Restaurant in Sesimbra

At first lovely experience, then they confused our order and we tried to correct it on multiple occasions with them, but they were too busy to listen to our worries and our attempts at avoiding the misunderstanding in the order.

All in all, Staff members were misleading, lying and SO rude and offered no solutions to the miscommunication problem.

We tried to remove the dish we DID NOT order from the bill, and it was never clear to us 2 portions of the wrong dish were served in one small plate… we were Threatened to have the Police called on us. An absurd situation.

And given their reply to this review, you can see how they choose to Still behave despite it all. With Police threats. No accountability for something so simple and easy to solve.

Truly a shame.

Food was ok nothing very special too much garlic on everything , place was charming, but we won’t come back to be treated like unrespectful tourists, it is not what we are or how we behave to deserve such rudeness.

Orders, prices, communication and bills should be fair. POINT.

Dont have a restaurant if you dont understand simple rules like this.

We ordered choco frito, most popular dish in this region and was probably the worst we had in a month here. Also tried the fried octopus and was so hard. The owner knew that, said he could not freeze it before cooking due to being busy but still serve it to customers. The portions were very small. Restaurant will attract tourism due to the nice street and outdoor seating but avoid as the food is poor. We also had to wait ages for the chips, including having to go inside...

We just stumbled on this restaurant because the four of us in my family could not decide on what to eat. I am so glad we ate here. The food was so good and the service was amazing. We tried new things and my wife even ate some fish and liked it and she hasn’t eaten fishing in her entire 56 years of life. The owner has operated this restaurant for 46 years he says. It’s amazing.
