The food was good but we were rather unhappy about having to pay for what we thought was complimentary nibbles. We were brought to sit down and immediately given bread and cheese and olives, etc. we didn’t even have menus or have our jackets off. We did NOT ask for this food and so we thought it was just something that was automatically brought. We then got menus and ordered our meals. The bill was later brought with ALL the nibbles charged, including the butter. We argued that we didn’t even ask for that but the waiter wouldn’t budge. We ended up paying the charge because we nibbled at it but…..lesson learned and no second visit...
Read moreWe recently dined at Pedra Alta, and my family and I were thoroughly disappointed. Walking into an empty restaurant on a Saturday evening should have been a red flag. The menu prices were shockingly high for the quality of food we received. The dishes were mediocre at best, far from what we expected given the steep prices.
To make matters worse, we were charged for olives, bread, and a barely edible tuna salad that we didn’t order, assuming they were complimentary while we waited for our meal. It felt like a complete rip-off! Overall, I cannot recommend Pedra Alta. Save your money and look for better dining...

The food was delicious for me and my wife (simple and straight forward, nothing special but the fishes were well seasoned), the staff were friendly, and we enjoyed the overall experience. I only gave them a 4 star because I found a strand of hair under my potatoes.
