Ribas Bar 海の上で — Restaurant in Sesimbra

This Great place requires perseverance, stubbornness & a touch of patience at the moment. But it is well worth the final experience. Currently Google has a GPS problem, so don't rely on that. Instead look for the location of Ribamar, Ribas Bar's Big Brother. The place was closed for the main two years of Covid due to staffing and only reopened in April 2023. The experience & vibe of the place would fit perfectly in a big city like Lisboa or Setubal, what an amazing treat to have it with the stunning location overlooking Praia do Oura in Sesimbra. The food is amazing & any restaurant that has a wine from Soalheiro seems to be world-class, not sure why, but there seems to be some strange connection. There was nowhere like this before Ricardo & his passion for authentic , but very creative Asian food opened next to the iconic seafood restaurant Ribamar on Douro beach.

Ribas is such a lovely atmospheric restaurant & bar … with VERY different food , ….prepare to be delighted !!

especially if you like it a bit spicy, not too much unless you are like us & ask for EXTRA 🌶️ !

You can see Ricardo’s intense passion for his Art ( the dishes & presentation ARE works of Art ) you can see this on his face as he concentrates intensely & creates uniquely, delicious, plates full Of colour , flavour & fresh fresh ingredients.

Wow, this is the place to go for excellent foot in a prime location with views to the beach and sea to die for!. Ordered Pad Kra Pao and Pad Thai and the food was excellent. The staff was very very friendly and ensured we had a good experience there, always smilling! Chef definitely knew what he was doing.
