Food was quite nice, the vibe of the location is quite pleasant unfortunately I can’t say the same about the American owner of the place. As he was cleaning the place I assumed he was working there. Firstly I wasn’t aware of the setup (of a truck style) and tried to ask nicely but it wasn’t reciprocated the same. In no way I am entitled but the owner seemed grumpy and came across rude in his responses, at one point I did consider walking away, as generally the norm in Europe atleast is that you get a decent service. And by service I mean basically a decent conversation when your customer asks you nicely if they can get a table. I’m not sure I would recommend it as I didn’t feel comfortable at the time. (edit: in your response please decide whether the person here is your friend or brother / other guest. You keep changing your stance on things, now I don't take your word for it. The person in question was clearly quite involved in helping out other guests and didn't only seem to be minding his own business. Come on man, be real and own up sometimes). I only mean well for your business, and would be happy for it do well. My circumstance was unique, it was my last evening in Portugal, and was hoping to get a nice meal and enjoy it while seeing the sunshine. All was going well until that specific instance. Anyhow, I only mean well! Thanks for the meal. Little things such as being nice, go a long way!...

I recently left Sesimbra after 6 days of leisure in the sun, 5 of which were spent at Tacos Pexito for at LEAST a couple of hours per day. Enough to bring religion back into my secularized Swedish life through the mindblowingly gorgeous drink Jesus Juice, made by my personal priest and musical genius Nate.
The food was also incredible, we slurped down our burritos like we had never encountered food before. It was almost romantic, and definitely fulfilling in every way.
The gorgeous and competent owner himself can only be described as a passionate philosopher with too many musical references in his mind to count. This man has lived a thousand lives and a talk with him, which he's often (but not always! He is a real human being after all) willing to give, will almost always lead you in an exciting direction.
If you find yourself in this magical place you won't want to leave, and you'll always want to come back.
All in all: good vibes dude, chill out. Even if there's nothing chill about this essay...
Read moreThe tacos are absolutely delicious - I don't know much about Mexican food so can't really compare it to other tacos but it was the best food we had in Sesimbra (even better than the fancy restaurants!). The cocktails are also really good, made with fresh herbs. The location is amazing with a beautiful view of the sea. But I've got to say the service wasn't great. A lot of the reviews talk about a great 'vibe' but for me it just wasn't there. The owner seemed very grumpy and annoyed that he had to serve anyone at all. The tables were dirty and there were lots of hippies hanging around, a few of them were definitely on drugs, and it just didn't feel like a friendly atmosphere - like we were intruding by being there. Maybe we caught the owner on a bad day, but he just wasn't as friendly as the other reviews make out! But if you want tasty food + drinks with a view, it's definitely...
