We stumbled across this lovely little place, so glad as it was very chilled and relaxed, it appears to be very popular, lovely little spot to have lunch, the food is freshly made and delicious, in the photo is my toasties which was cheese tomato and oregano, the toasties are large, hubby had ham and cheese, we shared a salad, the salad consisted of various greens carrot, roasted tomatoes, red cabbage, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds with the most tasty dressing which is homemade, I had an orange juice which is freshly squeezed and hubby had a beer, this came to €16.50, absolutely worth every cent, I left a €3.50 tip which the lovely lady seemed very appreciated, if your in Silves don't hesitate to go there lovely couple run it.

Came across this cafe after visiting the castle, museum and cathedral. This is a typical Portuguese street cafe, but the food and the service were anything but typical. I had a ham and cheese toastie and a salad. The toastie was made with very large Portuguese bread so was definitely the largest I have ever seen. The salad was bright and fresh, and the dressing was home made and incredibly tasty. We would happily return here if we are ever in Silves.

Great little place for lunch. Straightforward food on a brief menu (not just vegetarian). We sat outside on the pavement with our dog; we shared a plate of padron peppers; I had the Portuguese bean stew, H had a cheese, sundried tomato and basil toastie, and we had a couple of glasses of wine each. A bargain at €27! Friendly, helpful service. Recommended.

Great veggie/vegan spot just off the tourist traps around the castle/riverside. We had a veggie version of a Portuguese dish called Alho francês à Brás" (leeks with fried potatoes) usually made with salted cod. Included egg in the ingredients. Huge portion with fresh salad and a fruit juice drink, which was orange and mango. Cost less than €15/£13. Image posted on site. Felt much more like you were in a small village, surrounded by locals, with no frills. Great service, very friendly and helpful couple. Highly...
