Shocking! I decided to take a long walk with my dog along the beach front and I didn't have any water and so I was hoping to find somewhere on the way and spotted a little fish bar. This restaurant/bar has an outside sitting area so I presumed it would be dog friendly as most places are. I stopped at the entrance to ask whether I am allowed to come in with my dog, but I didn’t’ even get a chance to ask as I was immediately confronted in an aggressive manner by a member of staff / owner and ushered away. The grumpy man shouted loudly “No dogs, out! Dogs outside, not inside! In front of many customers who were dining. Not expecting such an inappropriate way of welcoming a customer I had no words and totally shocked I walked away. We just needed water and yes the food smelt pretty awesome, but I will never return to this establishment. Just a note to the owner, I am also a local and live close by. I never give bad reviews, prefer to give good ones. Horrendous, the situation is stunning, everything was cold, sent back, pasta not cooked small spoonful of very bland bolognaise, burger is literally an excuse for a burger in a dry bun with bit of lettuce tomato!! Tuna salad, tinned tuna, lettuce tomato, no dressing no nothing, prawns in special sauce hilarious, the prawns granted were edible, peeled them and luckily I had a pack of tissues!! Appalling service. Rude and aggressive. Walked along the boardwalk with our baby and grandfather to have a coffee. Sat in one of the sheltered tables to protect baby from the wind, not a single other customer in the restaurant. Told we could not sit there as for food only and when I explained we would be quick and why we had chosen the table the staff were inflexible, antagonistic and told us they did not want us to stay. The worst customer experience possible and looking at the reviews it seems to have been a problem for years. Some people do not learn, no wonder...
