We absolutely loved this place. The atmosphere is fantastic—sitting directly by the beach, with the sound of Atlantic waves in the background and the fresh scent of the ocean in the air, makes the setting truly special. It’s the perfect spot to relax, unwind, and simply enjoy the moment.
The staff were wonderfully friendly and attentive, always supportive without ever being intrusive. Their warm hospitality added so much to the experience and made us feel genuinely welcome.
The food was outstanding. The grilled fish dishes—especially the octopus—were a highlight. They may be simple and traditional in style, but the execution was flawless: perfectly grilled, fresh, juicy, and full of flavor. Alongside the food, the restaurant offers a wide selection of drinks, from refreshing cocktails to a large range of wines, making it easy to find the perfect pairing for your meal.
We enjoyed it so much that we returned several times during our stay, and each visit was just as memorable as the first. This is truly a place worth experiencing, and we can only highly recommend it to anyone visiting...
Read moreI went here a few years ago and only remembered to review this place after I visited Armação de Pêra again last week. The management may have changed.
I went here one day to eat sapateira and I got told that they didn't have it because they only serve sapateira if the costumer orders it on the previous day to guarantee they buy it fresh from the market on the same day. Makes sense and I liked this approach so I ordered a sapateira for the next day.
I go to the restaurant the next day and unfortunately they still didn't have the sapateira. The owner claimed the sapateiras that were being sold were too small, not sure if it was an excuse or if he forgot to buy it... He recommended to order the seafood rice and promised it would be the best we have ever had. Well, it was a disappointment and the worst seafood rice I have ever had... Clearly made with seafood from those frozen bags you find on the supermarket.
The only positive point about this restaurant is the location and the view you have...
Read moreJony's is one of the best restaurant's in the Algarve. Jony is a wonderfull character and a top class chef. His staff are lovely, being very courteous , helpfull and jolly. The view from his glass fronted restaurant overlooking a 180 degree panoramic vista is breathtaking. I invariably order steak which is so tender it nearly melts in the mouth. My wife and I, and also at times my two daughters and their husbands often visit here when we can. When Jony has the time in between his cooking he has a laugh with you. He is one of my favourite characters and chef's on the globe. Please don't all go at once as I want a table too. A very satisfied customer -...
