Pedro's Bar — Restaurant in Silves

I meant to post this 2 months ago but time just flies! Pedro’s is an Armacao institution. Over the years it has gradually expanded into a vibrant yet relaxed, friendly beachfront bar. I’ve only given it 3 stars for the food as the menu is snack based. Having said that the food is always delicious and I now think that I’ve been a little mean . I was refused entry to a very famous bar in Venice last week, one of our party was wearing open toed sandals so no admission for the rest of us either. (We should have left him outside I suppose 😆) No such problems...

Got a chicken salad. What a horrible experience. The “chicken” was torn into pieces and mixed with some kind of mayo-thing in a yellowish color and reminded me mostly about an uncooked cake. The green salad was 100% rucula but fortunately with some nice tomatoes which were the only tasty thing on the plate.

I got a smootie called Tropical Something. That one was absolutely amazing.

So…. If you come here, just drink, dont eat anything.

No stars for the food, 5 stars for the smoothie = 2.5 Then 0,5 deduction for not follow up on the untouched...

Perfect casual beach bar.

Lovely beachside bar with a relaxed atmosphere, we had a simple cheese and meat platter with bread and olives, fresh and tasty, and the kids loved their chicken wings. Probably the cheapest beer in the area (€1.50 for an imperial, it used to be €1 years ago). You order and pay at the bar, but food and drinks are served at the table. No toilets on site, you can use the public ones nearby (not the cleanest). Very friendly staff and great value for money, a perfect stop for a casual meal...
