This place was recommended to us by many friends, so we decided to go for the last dinner before leaving Cascais.
To sum up - our expectations after reading reviews were high, but we were disappointed with almost every dish.
Octopus salad: fridge-cold. Overpowering acidic taste and visually unpleasant, looked not fresh.
Burrata caprese: good mozzarella. Cherry tomatoes were tasty but didn’t seem to match. Overall, the meal was too cold, definitely straight out of the fridge.
Fried squids: Nice, big portion. The lime and homemade mayo were a nice addition.
Cod: Visually, it was appetizing, but couldn’t say that about the taste. The cod was dry, chewy, and bland-tasting. The red onion ranged from raw to burnt. The whole meal was soaked in a layer of olive oil, which was excessive. Veggies and apples were fine.
Squid skewers: The skewers should have stayed longer on a grill - the vegetables were almost raw, and nothing seemed to be seasoned in any way, resulting in a bland dish. The salad had no interesting taste at all, so we skipped it. Potato wedges were good.
Caipirinha: This drink was too strong, which we liked.
The staff was nice - they were trying to make our experience good.
The place looked like ikea version of a SpongeBob’s house, which is probably great for children.
Overall, only one in five dishes was good. Maybe we were just really unlucky that day, but we expected way more from a 5-star restaurant. We suggest to spend less time responding to reviews and more listening to them.

Read moreEnthusiastically recommended! After a chilly and windy evening at the lighthouse of Cabo da Roca, my girlfriend and I decided to visit this special restaurant, and we are so glad we did! We started with the rustic potatoes, which were the tastiest, most pleasingly textured fried potatoes we had in Portugal. I ordered the Vegan Special. It uses the recipes of the manager's grandmother. The flavors were so interesting and subtle! Part of it was a pumpkin kibbeh, and I swear, I could eat that all day! I think this dish is unique to this restaurant. My girlfriend ordered the Lagareiro Octopus. The serving was generous to say the least, and again, the textures and flavors were intriguing and delightful. She was so happy! Overall, if there's an idea that tied together our meal, it was "comfort food," because this food was so wholesome and savory, it made us feel at home (if it were possible to enjoy such fine cooking at home!). The prices were also surprisingly reasonable considering the high quality experience. The service was perfect as well! Definitely don't miss this unique and...
Read moreAfter visting the stunning Ursa Beach, we went to the next town Azoia and tried this restaurant. What a good surprise! We ordered the classic “fried squid”, the in the reviews well-rated “Brazilian Feijoada” and the kids menu with fried fish. The fried dishes are fresh, flavorful, but not over-spiced. The Brazilian Feijoada is very interesting to us as well. In fact, it’s simple (beans and sausages), but well-combined with rice, fruits and vegetables. The red spicy sauce is strong, but very flavorful, so I enjoyed it a lot. The staff are nice, speak English and happy to help. Inside the restaurant, it’s bright and decorated peacefully. If you are in the area of Cabo da Roca or Ursa Beach, this restaurant will be a...
