A recent lunch experience was marred by a series of frustrations, including excessively slow service, a significant language barrier with the staff, and a meal that fell far short of expectations. The wait for our food was unreasonably long, stretching our patience thin. To make matters worse, communication with the staff proved to be a significant hurdle, as they did not seem to understand English. This led to an error in our order, with one of the requested dishes not being recorded and consequently never arriving at our table. When the food finally did arrive, it was a further disappointment. The dishes were overwhelmingly salty, making them difficult to enjoy. A particular low point was the spaghetti with shrimp and clams, which was served entirely without clams. Upon pointing out this omission to the staff, they returned with a small portion of cold clams, a gesture that did little to rectify the initial mistake and only added to the overall dissatisfaction...
Read moreUnfortunately the food was amongst the worst we had for years if not ever in a restaurant- fish overcooked and over salted, meat was also overcooked and bland, no options for vegetarians, sides all tasteless the mix salad for 11 euro only contained a bit of greens, 4 slices of white uncooked onion and 1.5 slides of tomato.
We were a group of 6 adults and 2 toddlers and in the end only 1 fish (Dorade) out of all was eatable. Given the extreme prices it’s unfortunately a one star experience.
Also our re order of wine was forgotten, our feedback on the food didn’t matter, there was only 1 high chair for the whole restaurant and we were not saluted goodbye in the end.
We don’t want this to be mean but thought it is important to share that value for money is not given and hopefully save others from a disappointing experience.
Adding a pic of one fish dish that was too salty to eat and with a super hard Panade that shouldn’t be part of a...
Read moreWent there for lunch last week and was really impressed. The view is amazing as you are looking directly at the lighthouse from your table. Super friendly service, casual but attentive. Also has a parking lot which is rare in Azoia. We started with a charcuterie board that was yummy, served with good bread. Then my husband had the slow roasted pork shank, it was so flavourful, not the type of thing you normally find in a restaurant. I had the Quiche of the day which came with a nice salad, it was really delicious and fresh. Then the Lemon Meringue Pie was so lemony and tart. The menu has really something for everyone, from full meals, snacks, vegetarian, kids.... Good spot to stop off on your way from Cabo da Roca. They mentioned to me you could book out the restaurant for a private dinner. Nice to find a good new restaurant....
