A real Gem ! After our trip to “ praia da Ursa “ we went to the next village were we wanted to eat something but every restaurant was full except Maria Wine & tapas ( what I don’t understand) . We entered in the restaurant and we found a real gem! A cosy restaurant with great homemade food and the dearest people on earth. Even though it was pretty late in the evening, they served us with pleasure. Our burger tasted incredibly good and were frechly prepared by Maria. We had a great time talking to Maria and Gonçalo. After we finished eating, we wanted to order a taxi back to our hotel, unfortunately we were to late and no taxi wanted to pick us up and bring us back to the hotel. Maria and Gonçalo noticed that we were in trouble and helped us out . Without them we would had missed our flight. In conclusion an absolutely must go place , great food and great Stuff! Greetings from Luxembourg.

We had gone hiking around Cabo da Roca and were very hungry, so we stopped in at Maria on the way through Azóia. We are SO glad we did! Pedro welcomed us and served us this delicious special of the day - a curry chicken dish with rice and some excellent falafel balls, after fresh bread and olives of course. We shared a very nice bottle of wine, and talked with Pedro the whole time about life. We were very lucky to be the last people in the restaurant so we could share our stories with each other. He's a great guy; he hung out with us as we waited for our Uber back to the train station. Thank you Pedro for one of the best evenings we had in Portugal!

Just go eyes-closed! The landlord is a real kind person, joyful, full of humour, sincere, authentic! He serve all day, with a huge smile. He knows how to give you good advices regarding if you are hungry or not. You have a lot of choice on the menu. The food is TASTY! Gosh we ate very good. The soup of clam (soupe de palourdes) is just amazing .... The bruschetta with sardines is also very good. It's a very cute little place, very authentic, very nice experience on the roast back from Ursu Beach. Thank you to this kind heart that took care of us like we were parents' house ❤️

We order calamari strips as a starter and it was big disappointment to know they serve frozen cheap stuff, you can tell by the perfect shape and same size of all the pices... I know is a small place tiny kitchen but being just next to the ocean on the coast that is a big mistake. 50€ for me and my wife that were not worth it at all, feijoada portion was small and more than half of it was rice. On top of that they try to charge two times for one dish, being the only one table at that moment you don’t make that mistake ( the woman sarving is the same charging so she knew it was only two mains not three ) tourist trap!

Yes the bill was printed from the computer but had two times feijoada and it was 60,5€ in total, i went inside and ask the nice little man to check it because for me it was wrong, he went trhu the ticket and still said it was fine, then i pointed with the finger and finally he saw two feijoadas the. He charged 49,90€ My little daughter (almost three years old) didn’t eat so we were two as i said in my review. I have no reason nor right to lie and affect badly a business reputation but I believe i have the right to say something about my experience, or you want social media just for good? Our experience at your place was disappointing so i have to said it trying to prevent others. If you are sure about what you do, you should even care but by the way you react and respond to my review makes me doubt it...

This is the second review that write in years since i use google I don’t bother taking pics of food or tickets to then post them as an evidence not interested but yes maybe next tune if it happens i will keep it to proof my words as you dare me, still i know i am not being false or trying to affect you place just because i am just writing my opinion about my experience in your place wich I repeat was disappointing frozen sea food being in the...
