The restaurant has very good reviews, so eight of us went there for dinner. Most of our group enjoyed the food and the wonderful sangria. Unfortunately, I was unlucky because my dish – cod – was extremely oversalted, inedible – pure salt. Others tried it and confirmed the same. This can happen even in the best restaurants, so I reported it to the staff, hoping to receive a new, improved portion. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. The lady got angry and explained that I was wrong, as the food was perfect and didn't contain a single gram of salt. Well, I didn't want to argue anymore, since you know better. This charming spot, run by the incredible Carla and Filipa, truly stole our hearts. These two are not only the talented chefs behind every dish but also the most wonderful waitresses—funny, welcoming, and full of warmth.
The food? Absolutely incredible. We ordered multiple tapas and went family-style, and every single dish was a hit. From the bifana to the octopus and cornbread to the garlic prawns, beef, and fresh bread, everything was bursting with flavor. But don’t make the mistake we almost did—order the French fries! They’re homemade and seriously out of this world. And, of course, don’t leave without indulging in one of Carla’s mouthwatering desserts—truly a highlight!
The ambiance was just as special as the food. We sat on the cozy covered patio and could’ve spent hours there just chatting with Carla and Filipa, soaking in the atmosphere, and enjoying the delicious food. If you’re in the area, make sure to take the time to drive out to Nem Que A Vaca Tussa—you won’t regret it! This was hands down our favorite Portuguese meal of the entire trip, and we can’t...
