The restaurant has very good reviews, so eight of us went there for dinner. Most of our group enjoyed the food and the wonderful sangria. Unfortunately, I was unlucky because my dish – cod – was extremely oversalted, inedible – pure salt. Others tried it and confirmed the same. This can happen even in the best restaurants, so I reported it to the staff, hoping to receive a new, improved portion. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. The lady got angry and explained that I was wrong, as the food was perfect and didn't contain a single gram of salt. Well, I didn't want to argue anymore, since you know better. With a large bill for eight people, you really could have relented and improved that one dish to make everyone happy. I left the restaurant hungry, even though I had paid for my dinner. The rest of the people were happy with their food, although some of the dishes were fatty, even bathed in oil, such as the steak and goulash with a layer of olive oil on top. The photos show the grease left behind.

I'm not being mean; I was nice and politely asked for a replacement. I understand that such situations can happen, but I was negatively surprised by the staff's attitude - you have to like it and you can only praise it, otherwise you will be told that you don't know what you're talking about and you're wrong, as evidenced by the positive opinions of...

If you're looking for the best Portuguese food and a dining experience that will leave you smiling from ear to ear, look no further than Nem Que A Vaca Tussa! This charming spot, run by the incredible Carla and Filipa, truly stole our hearts. These two are not only the talented chefs behind every dish but also the most wonderful waitresses—funny, welcoming, and full of warmth.

The food? Absolutely incredible. We ordered multiple tapas and went family-style, and every single dish was a hit. From the bifana to the octopus and cornbread to the garlic prawns, beef, and fresh bread, everything was bursting with flavor. But don’t make the mistake we almost did—order the French fries! They’re homemade and seriously out of this world. And, of course, don’t leave without indulging in one of Carla’s mouthwatering desserts—truly a highlight!

The ambiance was just as special as the food. We sat on the cozy covered patio and could’ve spent hours there just chatting with Carla and Filipa, soaking in the atmosphere, and enjoying the delicious food. If you’re in the area, make sure to take the time to drive out to Nem Que A Vaca Tussa—you won’t regret it! This was hands down our favorite Portuguese meal of the entire trip, and we can’t...

Nem que a vaca tussa is one of those rare restaurants where you instantly feel the difference. It is not just about food here, it is about passion, dedication, and love on every level.

Felipa and Carla do absolutely everything. They wake up early to handpick the freshest local ingredients, they cook each dish with care, they serve every table with genuine warmth, and they even handle the cleaning themselves. There is no team of staff behind the curtain, it is just these two remarkable women pouring their whole hearts into the experience.

And you can taste it. Every dish is alive with fresh, unique Portuguese flavors, crafted with the kind of attention that can only come from people who truly care. The seafood is amazing, the seasoning is perfect, and every plate feels like it was made with love just for you.

The service is personal and heartfelt because they bring the food to your table, check in with a smile, and make sure everything is just right. The atmosphere is warm and authentic, like being welcomed into someone’s home.

This is more than a restaurant. It is an experience you will never forget. These two women embody what hospitality is supposed to be: honest, soulful, and unforgettable. Five stars simply...
