We went here for dinner on our way back from the beach and had one of our best dinners in Portugal. The owner, Luis took amazing care of us and made us feel super welcome. Now for the food…. everything was absolutely delicious. The couvert were rolls and tuna paté, freshly baked and homemade. We had two different seafood soups each for 4€ and what you get for that money is ridiculous. Full of perfectly done gambas, mussels, clams, everything you could want… I was blown away. Main course was their signature polvo (octopus) and bacalhau and both were spot on. The fish juicy and flavorful, but the octopus knocked it out of the park, best we‘ve ever had (!) and a huge portion at that, for around 20€. They understand price/value, let me tell you. Read moreRestaurant Central in Sintra was the best restaurant we have eaten in Portugal. We travelled all over for 2 months and on our last day we took a tour with Daniel Ponce and his amazing Tuk Tuk. He took us to Restaurant Central in Sintra for the best meal of our trip. A family restaurant with Momma cooking, Papa and their son serving and making sure customers are happy. We had fresh seabass, grilled to perfection, veggies and potatoes. Also grilled squid with vegetables and potatoes and the most amazing dish of mussels, caramelized onions and potatoes roasted on top of the mussels. All of the food was spectacular. Dessert was equally amazing. As was the wine which is local and was 6Euros...
Read moreWe came here after seeing such great reviews of this place, and we were certainly not disappointed!
We had the black pork, grilled squid, duck rice and sea bass. All of the dishes were so delicious and fresh. The black pork was succulent, juicy and flavourful. The grilled squid was deliciously meaty and fresh. The sea bass was grilled to perfection. They didn’t cheap out on the duck in the duck rice - it was great! For dessert, we had the profiteroles, which were great too.
Our server was so kind and welcoming, and helped us out so much with the English translations of the dishes. We really appreciated it :)
Overall, a great experience in a cozy, traditional...
