Ribeirinha de Colares — Restaurant in Sintra

During my recent visit to Colares, Portugal, I had a disappointing dining experience that left me disheartened. It seems that Portugal is becoming a country where some establishments take advantage of visitors, and the overall quality of experiences is declining.

The main issue I encountered was at a local restaurant. The cod fish I ordered was dry and lacked the desired tenderness. It was a far cry from the exceptional seafood that Portugal is known for. This decline in quality is disconcerting, especially considering the reputation the country has built among tourists.

Furthermore, the pricing at this particular restaurant seemed excessive. The total bill, including two glasses of wine, left me feeling like I had been taken advantage of. This pricing strategy does not align with the value provided and is concerning for the sustainability of tourism in the area.

It is disheartening to see that the focus on providing a memorable experience for tourists appears to be diminishing in Colares. If this trend continues, it will undoubtedly deter visitors from spending their hard-earned money in the area. As a result, the tourism industry will suffer greatly.

In light of my disappointing experience, I would caution potential visitors to exercise caution when selecting dining establishments in Colares, Portugal. It is disheartening to witness the decline in quality and the potential impact it may have on the tourism industry. It is my hope that improvements are made to ensure that future visitors can enjoy the true essence of Portugal without feeling taken advantage of.

This place 🤌🏼 I had the sting ray and it was melt-in-your-mouth good! Seriously, hardly had to chew. It was divine alongside the mashed potatoes and broccoli. My husband had the pork chops with beans and fries, which he loved. The beans were so savory! Excellent selection of wine and excellent service. Just make sure you make a reservation in case they get super busy, as they are the only really nice, high-end...

The bitoque is another level, the sauce, the eggs, the fries and specially the stake are one of the best I’ve tried.

The porco preto was good with the beans as well, but bitoque is the thing you should go for.

A roustiq and calm atmosphere, really cute for funny pics, and calm, not noise at all, really good space.
