Just finished an incredibly tasty meal here. Peshawar naan, paneer karahi, sag aloo & some little accompaniments....portions were hot, full of flavour and plentiful.
The decor isn't fancy and glitzy, nothing pretentious or ostentatious. There's artwork depicting Indian images which I think were done by a local artist. Lovely. The staff are attentive without being overbearing. I noticed a new air-conditioning unit, but it's relatively cold atm, so it wasn't in use.
I arrived early and the restaurant soon filled up with regulars and newcomers alike, of multiple nationalities.
However, the business does have two buildings side by side that haven't been knocked into one, so they kindly allowed me to "Sit and enjoy my evening" although I finished my meal some time ago.
Parking in a large van is tricky, but just past the restaurant on the left is some paid parking. However, you may be lucky and find a spot without paying.

My Chicken Korma was so sweet that it was more appropriate for a dessert.
Maybe such taste is authentic for some regional Indian cuisine that this restaurant represents, but I am comparing it to many other Indian restaurants I ate in over many years in different countries.
However, if you are fine with curries on a sweeter side, you would probably...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe found this restaurant after trying others and finding that all were fully booked, not surprising as it was Friday and we only just arrived in Tavira. Staff were welcoming and sat down to one of the best Indian meals of all time, fantastic food, beautifully cooked to the spiciness in terms of heat you wanted, whether mild, medium or hot. Nans were delicious and melt in the mouth. My wife had the chicken in mango and cream, and I had my go to chicken jalfrezzi, both were cooked beautifully and there was lots of chunky pieces of chicken. Staff were friendly and helpful and overall a great experience. They also have a takeaway service which we love to try, the booked restaurants were our fortuitous experience. It was also good value, for 2 people including a bottle of wine...
