Tavila Café — Restaurant in Tavira

Good music and nice location. Unfortunately food was the weakest point: hummus was not a hummus but just a blended chickpeas without tahini, falafel was nothing even close to it. Everything is served dry without any sauces. The staff was a bit too bold in contact and I wasn't sure if the lady working there is annoyed by having clients over. It was difficult to catch them around. We sit there for hours and to order anything more we had to make a big effort to get their attention. It's great place for drink without expecting much...

Stopped here for lunch in Tavira. The cafe is situated on a corner near Bishop's Square. Smoked salmon salad and sweet potato fries were excellent, fresh salad, good quality salmon and sweet potato fries on a par with those on sale at M & S . Service from Tiago very good the only downside is nearby roadworks which is affecting all (very) local businesses , hence the four stars for atmosphere. Nice white wine from Lisbon and Superbock beer ,what's not to like at a very reasonable price? Live music...

Lovely atmosphere. Either inside (tucked round the corner) or outside, this is a great place to sit and while away the day. The tapas is great and the desserts are lovely, but more expensive than other places, and the vinho Verde is pretty good too (€18/bottle). Would definitely come back for a light bite - order 3+ dishes each if you're hungry! When we went they only accepted cash, so beware if you don't have enough cash to...
