I had to remove my review because Maps doesn't allow us to reply. Therefore, I'll reply to the owner below:

1. You don't remember me because I was in the restaurant for 30 seconds as the man at the door didn't seem interested in engage and just said there were no tables left. And I don't remember you, obviously.

2. Sorry to inform you (again) but the man never mentioned what you said in your response. One more time: he said there were no tables left and conversation ended. He never mentioned timetable or anything similar.

3. if you have people in your staff who don't smile at clients, who don't care about saying "good evening", and who couldn't care less about upcoming clients but the ones who are eating only, maybe you should be working somewhere else. Having this state of mind while working with restaurants clearly shows that you need to study more. After all, this is basic in customer service.

4. It's not because your business has 4.5 stars and thousands of positive reviews that you have the right to be arrogant and lie after receiving a negative review due to a poorly trained employee.

5. No, I won't make a reservation and spend money in a place owned by a person who clearly doesn't know how to handle criticism, who doesn't use this to improve service and who lies to make excuses to defend a man from staff. Nice cosy place and friendly waiters. In my opinion this restaurant is slightly overhyped for what it offers. The menu was quite limited and a bit misunderstood compared to other places. We tried looking up the menu online before going, but some of the items weren’t listed and the same menu was being changed soon after our visit, so we didn’t take any photos of it. The grilled vegetables were bland and didn’t have a very good look. The polenta with bacon didn’t really need seafood in it, as it felt more like combining leftovers of two separate meals. The batter of the tempura octopus was quite heavy and doughy, while it also had no crisp at all. The only thing I can wholeheartedly recommend is their allioli, as it had a an inspiring twist to it - slightly curry-like flavour and a bit of a zing. The sweet potato fries were also prepared just right and not burned like in some of the other places we tried. Given the other wonderful places we found on our way, we decided to give the new menu a miss and not dine a second time here. I’ve lowered another star, because we were seated inside and they allowed a family with two children, all clearly poorly, which made the surrounding tables very uncomfortable. Once you’re inside, there is only one opening and it’s the front door, so not really a good flow of air and you may feel a bit trapped if another table coughs and sneezes around you. Hope this...

A fantastic little restaurant, recommended to us by a shopkeeper working in a shop down the main street. There were 4 of us and we tried to get in but hadn't got a booking, so we booked for the following evening. It is quite small room, but worth the time to visit! The food was excellent! One of our party is a really fussy eater, but they even went so far to say it was probably the best burger they had ever tasted! I had the Ox Tail with a bed of mash potato. I thought the portion was small, in my opinion, but then again I like my grub and I can eat!! ! Notwithstanding this, it tasted amazing! Cooked to perfection and literally fell apart! One had a rare steak and again said it was one of the best they had and cooked, if you can call it cooked😂, to perfection. The other had fish and again raved about how good it tasted. Needless to say, empty plates all round! It doesn't have an extensive menu, but what it does, it does really well and we saw several people being turned away because it was full and they hadn't got a booking. The staff were very attentive. Very friendly and down to earth, and very knowledgeable about both the food and the wines on offer.
