We stopped in while waiting for our train (only a 6 minute walk ) on a weekday at 830. It was quite busy at that time but we still found available seating. There are plenty of tables inside and outside on the patio. The staff works hard and keeps up with the rush. We never waited long to order or to pay. They also will deliver to your table. The menu is large and they have soo many different local treats. Definitely one of the best bakeries in the area. We did stop in later a day earlier and there wasn’t much available so get in early! We dropped in for a light lunch simply because we were passing at the right time and it looked popular with locals. It was lively with customers and conversation but there were seats to be had inside and out. Food was fresh, tasty and great value although the translation of ‘roast beef’ is inaccurate. Outstanding Portuguese coffee and pastry shop, in the heart of beautiful Tavira. Fresh bread and delicious baked goods fresh daily, with excellent coffee and soft drinks. Located at the top of the high street, minutes walk to the castle and gardens, the main square, the River Gilao and the Roman Bridge.
