Thai Tavira — Restaurant in Tavira

Visited this establishment with my parents on 15/09/2025 for dinner. We were warmly welcomed by this awesome gentleman who was our server, we wanted to order cocktails but unfortunately he was by himself so it wasn't possible, so we had iced water. Now to the amazing food, we started off with Spring Rolls, they were amazing, crispy & flavorful with sweet chili sauce and then Som Tam, Papaya Salad, it was absolutely out of this world delicious, perfect balance of heat & sweet n sour. Now to our entrees, my father had a Thai curry with chicken, medium heat, he loved it, my mother had the Phat Krapao with pork, she loved hers, I had the Phat Krapao with chicken, Thai Hot, let me tell you it was outstanding, perfect balance of authentic flavors and heat from the Thai chilies. This is a relatively small Thai restaurant on the road leading to the church. I got there shortly after opening in the evening and 3 tables were soon taken. Did not see AC so may want to get table by fan. Service was good and fairly extensive menu for a small place. Menu could be a bit clearer on what protein options had with dishes and their prices. My massaman curry could apparently come with chicken or prawn. I chose chicken and enjoyed it. They have several beers including bottled Singha. Had coconut ice cream for dessert which came with chocolate sauce in 'shell'. Sauce meant very messy to eat as needed to grip shell to scoop out tasty ice cream. Will skip sauce next time. This beautiful Thai restaurant has moved. It's much closer to the old bridge. Second turning on the right within 25m of crossing. Same marvellous cuisine. Helpful, pleasant and attentive staff. You are paying a little more but for excellence what price? This was a special occasion for two cyclists who usually cycle to Tavira, hence very hungry. Very pleasant inside. We shared a tasty mixed starter and later on an exquisite sticky rice Mango dessert. Between us we ordered Tom Yum seafood and a Chicken Red Thai curry with extra spices.
