Pizzeria Mamma Mia — Restaurant in Torres Vedras

I recently visited Mamma Mia Pizzeria and I must say I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their pizzas, especially considering their very affordable prices. Despite being quite busy, the service was top-notch, and the staff was friendly and attentive.

The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the pizza. The crust was thin and crispy, and the toppings were fresh and delicious. I particularly enjoyed the classic Margherita, which had a perfect balance of tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, and fresh basil. The other pizzas I tried were equally satisfying, with a great selection of toppings to choose from.

Although the restaurant was busy during my visit, the staff made sure to attend to every customer quickly and efficiently, which is a testament to their commitment to good service. The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere, and I felt comfortable throughout my visit.

I'd like to have reviewed the food at this restaurant but I wasn't given the chance. When we phoned I was told they opened at 6pm but didn't start serving until 7pm and they didn't take bookings. I thought this must be because it was a popular choice of restaurant. As we were a large group trying to arrange a friends surprise birthday, and Italian seemed the obvious choice.

I arrived at 6pm, explained we had 20 People in our group and that it was a birthday celebration. The girl who greeted me asked the manager who was a little further into the restaurant. With a dismissive look he simply replied 'we've no room'! and turned back to what he was doing. I turned and looked around the completely empty restaurant and thanked him for his time.

We then went to a fantastic seafront restaurant just around the corner. We were welcomed in by 'Bruno' the owner and 'Miguel' looked after our group for the evening. We spent over €500 euro.

As I say, I can't recommend...

Pedi pizzas Familiar para levar e em vez disso deram-me pizzas Maxi. Quando questionei, disseram: “duas Maxi equivalem a uma Familiar porque usamos duas massas.” Isso não faz sentido nenhum. Ninguém me explicou isto quando fiz o pedido e, quando reclamei, o staff não quis saber.

A realidade é esta: • Maxi (≈30 cm círculo) → área ≈ 730 cm² • Duas Maxi → 1460 cm² • Familiar (≈60 × 40 cm retângulo) → 2400 cm² (!!)

Ou seja, quase 1.000 cm² de pizza em falta — suficiente para deixar uma festa com fome.

Duas Maxi NÃO são uma Familiar. O que recebi foi enganoso, desonesto e totalmente inaceitável. A nossa festa ficou sem comida por causa diss.

I ordered Familiar pizzas for take-away and instead was given Maxi pizzas. When I questioned it, I was told: “two Maxis equal one Familiar because we use two doughs.” That makes no sense. Nobody mentioned this when I placed the order, and when I pointed it out, the staff didn’t care to fix it.

That’s almost 1,000 cm² of pizza missing — enough to leave a party hungry.
