As appetizers they put some rissois and pataniscas that tasted bad and looked like they had been reheated. The bread was inedible, clearly old bread, very hard and to disguise it they heated it.

We ordered octopus à lagareiro and it was simply awful. No seasoning, no taste whatsoever, the octopus looked like rubber and as we were 2 we ordered octopus for 2 which is basically two portions, very poorly served indeed, very little for the price.

I have never reviewed any restaurant, but I feel obligated to talk about this one because I really can't remember eating so badly.

One thing I noticed is that they give us a little bit of port with the coffee, and they even offered us a slice of cookie cake. I don't know why they do it, but surely they are trying to compensate for the bad service and...

Tem ambiente e música portuguesa, sim senhor e faz-nos lembrar aqueles restaurantes em que a comida era caseira e o empregado atento e solícito. Porém, pára aqui a lembrança. A sugestão do dia, espetada de lulas, é para esquecer. A pior que comi até hoje. Primeiro, porque é uma espetada com 6 (exatamente) lulinhas pequeninas, escondidas por pedaços grandes de cebola, pimentos e tomate. Não sabem a quase nada. Comem-se em 6 (exatamente) garfadas. E deixa-se ficar o acompanhamento, igualmente sem sabor. As batatas a murro servem para acompanhar vários pratos, pelo que se pedir batatas cozidas no lugar, a resposta é "não pode ser". Isso mesmo! Não dá para trocar por 2 batatas cozidas. Que ideia a nossa!! E se pensam que propor pataniscas à entrada é uma boa ideia, esqueçam. Podiam, quem sabe, ter sido boas ao almoço. Mas ao jantar, elas surgem queimadas por terem sido novamente aquecidas. Se sobraram do almoço e são impigidas ao jantar, percebe-se que nem à partida eram boas. E ao jantar: intragaveis, ficaram no pratinho. Comer tão mal ao som da nossa Amália é um pecado. Mais valia fechar. Não mereceram 1 tostão do dinheiro que lá deixamos. Esta é a primeira vez que deixo uma crítica tão negativa e espero que seja...

The Staff is friendly, the owner is very humble and very friendly too. The prices are quite high for Portugal, although not that expensive but higher than normal. There is a long wait for the food, even if the restaurant is not that full. It was very nice from the Restaurant that they offered us a Portwine glass at the end of the meal.
