Lamb vindaloo was okay for the price but slightly flavourless. Lassi was a bit too sweet. I ordered Jeera rice and received steamed rice at first, later she brought Jeera rice but I was already eating so could not finish jeera rice.

The group of customers of the table beside me was really noisy. It was the noisiest for this decade and I was using earphone while eating. Of course this is not the fault of restaurant.

I dislike when restaurants ask to pay by cash insistently. I withdraw cash paying conversion fee and ATM commission in total more than 3%. The payment was 12.8€ and I asked if I can pay 22.75€ by cash to receive the change of 10€. because I did not have that 5 cents. She just handed me 7.2€ receiving 20€. I preferred to pay card because I do not want so many coins in my wallet. She was thinking only about the card machine comission of her side. I paid by cash as she asked but will not return here for the overall impression. Congratulations, 1 customer lost. And I'm sure by this review more than 5 cents lost...

We had dinner at The Royal in Viana do Castelo. Do not be fooled by its humble decoration and slightly hidden location, it was simply a staple of great northern Indian food. The onion bhaji was unique and delightful. The Pashawari naan excelled at its sweet essence on a savory frame and mixed well with the main course. We took a Prawn Bhuna and a Butter chicken adorned with Polau rice. As a hot and spicy aficionado I quite loved the whole experience. The meal ended with an out-of-the-ordinary, silky dessert named Rasmalai. In essence, it was a great meal. Highly recommended restaurant. Our first time at this restaurant, we were greatly pleased with their lunch plate-of-the-day, which offered several options at a reasonable price. This was served with large portions of the entree and included rice, naan bread, and a drink. Vegetarians and carnivores will be pleased with the choices. The staff are friendly and the flavors are wonderful. I was particularly impressed with the freshness of the vegetables in the vegetarian curry. We look forward to returning for dinner soon....
