Saura cool — Restaurant in Vila do Conde

Restaurant with a large and agréable terrasse. Thé service was fast. For food we got clamares and polvo panado. Both were good in particular the polvo (octopus), it was in the right spot between tender and chewy. For main dishes, we got two dishes of the day: rabinho de bovino com purée and filetes with rice. The quality was lower here. The rice was not properly cooked. For the rabinho, the taste was ok, but there was very little to eat. This lovely, cozy restaurant/cafe is situated at the beginning of Vila do conde by the market Nicely revamped and decorated. Great family charming environment makes it an ideal place for a relaxed meal.A perfect pit stop for cyclists with a lovely big terrace where one can sit and see the traffic coming into the city. They are really cyclists friendly!!! .Mr João is so polite helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome.Thanks for the wonderful care specifically given to us. Definitely do recommend this...

We did try to eat here.

However we weren’t made to feel welcome.

Was offered a table inside then left waiting without knowing which table

The table was in a passage way, hot and we didn’t like the atmosphere

We were leaving to come back later to be told a table outside was available

We sat down then were told that table was reserved for someone else waiting (even though it had been empty for 5 mins)

Just gave the impression that we were too much trouble for them.
