Nice food and comfortable place to eat. I had a few issues with the bill, since a few items were charged from my group and we not even had ordered it. The waiters just brought starters to our table as "offer" but we just found out it was not offer when we were paying. They also charge the bottle of water without informing you. Just bring it to the table and if you drink it, you have to pay. (the difference was about 25€ on the bill)

Particularly I don't think this is the best approach to the customers, since we're not obligated to understand the internal culture of the restaurant and according to Portugal's law, if anything is brought to the table without the customer order, this item shall not be charged. (But then it comes a deeper topic and it's not worth saying).

Overall the food it good, just has this little management issue that really makes me think twice before going there since It's a little bit...

I visit Porto (Vila do Conde) a lot, on and off for about 10 years. This restaurant has weird opening hours, and I still haven't figured out when its open, and when its closed. This for me is a real frustration as the food here is so F* excellent. (Sorry about that but no other way to describe the food.) The main waiter (Maitre DE) is kind of uppish (but also part of the establishment), I like the "Steak on Stone" its a Hugh steak for two, and he always objects to me eating it alone, WTF, Share the joy!!! Ótimo almoço. Por vezes o objectivo de muitos restaurantes é "ostentar o luxo e a diferença pelos preços praticados ". E aí nesses nem sempre a qualidade /serviço/ambiente corresponde ás perpectivas que cada ambiciona e a realidade provo-o contrário. Pois neste restaurante inverte-se tudo. Do luxo passa-se a requinte ,bom gosto e comodidade excelente. Do serviço de algo distante passa-se a um atendimento atencioso, rápido, alegre e principalmente com profissionalismo e de nunca se deixar ultrapassar as linhas que separam entre o conviva e funcionário. Da qualidade dos pratos e da variadíssima oferta de vinhos e outras bebidas é muito boa e saborosa. O cuidado da apresentação é notável e o serviço pronto, mas não abusivo , de todas as bebidas é de registar positivamente. Sendo nós um grupo de 13 pax.( c/duas crianças incluídas) fomos servidos com todos os tempos de degustação nos momentos próprios. No nosso caso foi um serviço de "menu" completo pedido com alguns dias de antecedência. No entanto caso o quizessemos o próprio menu era feito "na hora" com a compreensão de um pouco de tempo de espera ; pois todos nos alimentos são preparados e conficionados no momento. Em relação a todos os preços praticados estào ,em minha opinião, compatíveis á relação conforto/qualidade/ambiente O Restaurante é composto por duas salas separadas entre elas por paredes maciças e decoradas e também com uma excelente esplanada toda envidraçada ( com telas de proteção para um hipotético dia sol/chuva/etc. ) que também mantém a intimidade de quem a usufrui. Esplanada essa está virada em frente ao Rio Ave , com vistas desde a ponte circulação automóvel até quase á foz do mesmo rio. Desde modo é um restaurante para mais tarde regressar.
