It is quite different to find a good Indian or Nepali restaurants in Porto or Vila Nova de Gaia. We found one in Lisbon but not here. Gladly, we found this restaurant in Vila Nova de Gaia. The price of prato do dia might not be as cheap as Lisbon, but for the quantity, it is the same. I recommend this restaurant if you want to have tasty Nepali Indian food.
The location might not be good or strategic, but they have good service and food. You just follow the maps direction and you will get here.
Pros The staff is nice and friendly. They have dine-in service also take-out by online order application or by walk-ins. Prato do dia costs 10 euros including naan, drink, salad, and main dish. You may change the main dish if the main dish of the day is not your taste. You just need to ask the staff about the possibility. The chicken mango is super tasty. The rice is also good as naan. Free wifi.
Cons Parking by car is difficult. We got a blue ticket on our last visit on Sunday because we thought no parking man works on Sunday like in Porto. Please, be careful when you park your car. You must put coins even if...
Read moreDO NOT EAT HERE! Unless you want to get sick. I ordered food for delivery and I wish I can give this place ZERO stars. I am from pakistan, so I know Indian food very well. The chicken tikka and palak paneer was full of sugar. It was so sweet I could not eat it and it did not have any masala inside of any kind. I was sick after eating some because I was so hungry. Never in my life did I eat sweet palak paneer. This place is a scam charging 12 euros for a dish they cannot even cook. If you like and know Indian food, don’t go here! For anyone who doesn’t know Indian food, this is not authentic! I contacted Glovo and they gave me my money back...
Read moreWe were very misled by the generally positive reviews, which is the only reason we remained seated in the dismal empty shopping mall with dirty tables, and didn't even leave after the terrible starter of bad tasting poppadoms served with watery green sauce and tomato ketchup! Unfortunately we had no drinks to wash it down with, as the waitress had forgotten to bring them despite having no other customers. Second course did not improve. Worst chicken tikka I've had. Definitely don't recommend eating in, but maybe take out and hopefully have better luck than us...
