You absolutely must visit this amazing location for a sunset. You also need to get there AT LEAST an hour before, because even then there are lots of people and it quickly fills up to standing room only. So again, get there about an hour and a half before sunset. Bring a blanket, wine, beer, snacks, etc. There are also multiple vendors walking around selling wine and beer. The vibe is humming, and the romantic ambiance is perfect for a date night. You will see a melting pot of people from all over the world converging on this great park to see a gorgeous sunset fall before you, as you look down river and over a scenic view of the city and it's nightlife springing forward. You can also stand along the bridge over the water as well. Just be mindful of the commuter trains slowly passing behind you. This is the best place to watch a sunset in Porto, and you do not want to skip on this experience.

It's nuts the number of people who come here for sunset! We came on a Monday evening in September (so not peak tourist season by any means) and there were so many people on the grassy banks. We could even make out the people on the hill all the way from Jardins do Palácio de Cristal on another evening. No doubt it's an outstanding panoramic view. There's food trucks and people coming round with drinks. You are also kept entertained by a number of musicians and buskers. Unfortunately you may have people smoking weed/sativa around you. It's easy to get to from the top of the bridge Luis I. You can get the cable car down to the riverside. We preferred the quieter view of the sun going down and afterglow from the monastery. Bonne visite. Stunned, we had to go back outside when we entered this drinking establishment because the staff used obscene language towards my wife without any form of respect. The barman laughed at us shamelessly on top of the insult when we decided it was better to leave because we were so insulted and felt very uncomfortable. This kind of inappropriate and rude behavior does not belong in a place where customers are served. My wife was humiliated here by 2 staff members who were having a great time doing this instead of welcoming us warmly and doing their job to normal standards.

One of my favorite places to go in Porto! It's a place to enjoy and relax. Whether you are alone, coupled, or in a group. Live music frequently plays as well as local vendors. Enjoy the splendor of the people gathering to enjoy life. The overall vibes are pleasant and welcoming. I go here often when I have nothing planned and end up enjoying myself every time. Full of people gathering from all over the globe as it full of tourists. Some days are busy some days are not. If the weather is nice stay for a beautiful sunset, a sight you wouldn't forget.

What a place to experience one of the most beautiful sunsets in Europe. The vibe in this place is great very chilled and definitely a must do if you visit Porto. Unfortunately no toilet is easily accessible here (tip: get one drink at the bar and use the plastic cup to help you get access to the toilet in the building). There is often buskers providing live music to the crowd. In busy periods there are vendors that walk around the garden with chilled drinks for you to buy which will be cheaper than the permanent bar at the top.
