An Authentic Portuguese Delight: A Culinary Journey for Couples
My partner and I recently stumbled upon a hidden gem of a Portuguese seafood restaurant, and it turned out to be an exceptional find. From the moment we walked in, the host greeted us with genuine warmth, embodying the true spirit of Portuguese hospitality. Not only did he provide fantastic recommendations for our meal, but he also delighted us with intriguing snippets of history and culture.
Situated in a beautiful and well-connected neighborhood, the restaurant offered a delightful ambiance, perfect for a romantic evening. The food itself was nothing short of lovely, with each seafood dish we tasted bursting with authentic Portuguese flavors.
However, the crown jewel of the evening was undoubtedly the red berry sangria. Its refreshing and tangy taste was the perfect accompaniment to our meal, leaving us thoroughly satisfied.
If you and your partner find yourselves in the area and yearn for a restful haven to relax your tired legs, while enjoying a memorable culinary experience, we highly recommend paying this place a visit. It’s a haven of Portuguese authenticity, where delicious food, friendly service, and cultural...

My friends' prawns starter was good, but that was it. My veal croquetas were hot on the outside but cold on the inside. The waiter looked disgusted with me because I had left some (the cold inside bits). For my main I had what was listed as "chicken steak with ham & cheese". I couldn't believe what arrived - a big tray of pinkish, creamy, oily liquid with a flat piece of chicken topped with ham and cheese, which was barely even melted. I ate one bite - it wasn't hot when it arrived and it was completely cold 15 minutes later after I waited (repeatedly asking) for the chips to go with it, and was told there was a delay in the kitchen. The chips never arrived before I sent back my now cold meal.
My friends got octopus rice with fried octopus. The dish was huge but flavourless. Some of the younger waiting staff we told about our unacceptable dishes were understanding, apologetic and looked embarrassed.
Such a shame as other people in the restaurant, and others who have left reviews here, seemed to have been given good food. We most...
Read moreAvoid this restaurant!! Very busy and looks nice from the inside. However, everything unravelled from the moment we sat down. The octopus rice was flavourless and the fried octopus had been sitting out for some time and was inedible. I ate a couple of mouthfuls and couldn't eat any more. My friend ordered the chicken with ham and cheese. This looked like the most disgusting thing I've ever seen; it was sat in a cold orange sauce with split oil on the top. We were repeatedly told fries were coming, 20 minutes later they had not arrived and the chicken was cold, so we sent it back and refused to pay for it. The service from the owners was appalling and they were rude. One man looked at us with contempt when we had left some of the cold croquettes we ordered to start. Do not go here. I have never felt compelled to write a bad review until this experience, that is...
