In a nutshell: They bring you the meat to be grilled by you. It was fine by me, since I grilled it 🤣 So five stars to me😋 The meat was just two slices per plate, but it was OK. The overall space was clean. If the grill needs to be scrapped, they bring you a new one... thank God I did not have to scrap it myself, LOL. I can not recall whether there was an elevator for the disabled persons. I also can't remember if there was a sign to the entrance 🤔😋 No bank cards are accepted!!!!!! Just cash. For that, we should be notified from the very beginning. There is an ATM there, but if by any chance the ATM is out of operation or something else will happen, how will the customer pay? In general, I do not want to pay in cash, as I want to check, if needed, on my bank account in which places I spent . May the cash-only be the policy of the manager, but it is my right to know this before being seated. If you are a tourist in Portugal, you just want to enjoy your vacation without the need to attend to things that you do in your daily life, such as cooking. Maybe for the young ones 18-27, this is OK, but for people who look on relaxed vacations, it is NOT OK. Vacations are not just for posting on social media or doing things that you normally do at home but for relaxation. The waiters were kind and supportive of the process. Maybe apart from the chopsticks, the waiter should bring along forks and not just the chopsticks. For me, I am not quite familiar with the chopsticks use. It was a bit difficult. But OK.... I do not know about the cleanliness of the restrooms, but I suppose it is OK. So, if you want to take care of your food and be always attentive to it or have the experience of cooking/grilling, you can go. If you want a relaxing time, do not spend your...
Read moreIt is true that the meat is good quality. However, the atmosphere and the service are not worthy.
We made a reservation, and we got one table inside, not in a very nice place because the ringbell that the chefs were using was annoying, they were pressing it repeatedly and very strong, as if they were angry, having problems with the floor staff.
When one guy came to our table to take the order, we started asking questions about the menu, (as normal customers) and he did not know even a little. Tired by the ringbell, we asked first to the same guy that took the order if we could go outside. He said “I will see” and we waited without any response. That’s why we decided to ask the girl working there (receipcionist maybe?) she replied “no, no, impossible. No place” just passing by and without looking at us.
Third one, one guy working at the bar, he also said “I’ll see” and did not come back. Last chance we got is we asked ANOTHER guy (person number four) saying that if we could not move outside, we were going to pay the drinks and go. How weird! In that moment a table (that was impossible) appeared!!! We moved outside and the one that continued dealing with us was the only nice person there. Luckily they were not even a little busy. If they were full, the experience would have been worst!
Btw - we also saw one guy (not so young) that seemed to be the owner mistreating the employees in front of all the people. Very very sad! The organization and respect starts from the “head” of the restaurant.
Very disappointed experience. We chose this restaurant for the good reviews, but in fact was not what...
Read moreTOURISTS BEWARE. In terms of the food and service, it is a very good restaurant, and the prices are fair. The 1 star review comes from the fact that we were not told at the beginning that they didn’t accept credit cards that aren’t from Portugal. Who has ever heard of such a thing? The most important thing about a credit card is what the credit card network is, which Visa and Mastercard have the highest market share and are accepted literally everywhere else in Porto and the world, what country it’s issued in doesn’t matter, so why would you not accept it? We were forced to withdraw euros from an ATM which was very conveniently located in the restaurant, which charged us a 13.50% interest surcharge to withdraw. This is obviously a scummy way to make extra money off of unsuspecting tourists, who come to enjoy a meal and don’t think they’ll have to withdraw euros to pay at the end, as this doesn’t happen anywhere else in Porto and Gaia. it is quite a shame that this is the case with the restaurant, because the food and service were quite good, but we felt scammed at the end. We luckily only had to withdraw 50 euros because we had the rest on us, but if you had to withdraw say 200 euros to pay for your meal, the 13.50% surcharge would add 27 euros to your bill, literally money down the drain. If you want to eat here, make sure to bring...
