Most horrible experience ever. Restaurant threatened to call police even! It began when I wanted to order from the tapas menu (it is for 2 people). Since I was alone I asked the server if i could have a smaller portion- still willing to pay the 32 euros- she said of course! I couldn’t read the Portuguese tapas menu so she gave me an English menu and pointed out all the tapas items. When I got my bill I was charged for 3 meals!!! I ordered 3 tapas items- yes the portions were big but many restaurants there have large portions. The staff member at the till was outrageously rude. I said it was obvious a misunderstanding- he was shouting and screaming if I didn’t pay the full bill he would call the police. For my last night in the city this was so sad to have this happen. I offered to pay the 32 plus wine 3 euros $35. Plus another 10 euros- he refused and wanted over 50 euros for the total- I threw 50 at him and left. Also the food was not that good, the view Was amazing but it left a bad taste for customer service. What an unpleasant experience! This owner is absolute crazy! Believing a 50kg tiny woman would order 3 full meals on purpose and try not to pay- beyond ridiculous! It seems as if a bad review is left by a customer this owner goes absolutely nuts- blaming the customer! One response even suggests the customer go get new teeth!??? DO NOT under any circumstances eat here. Several customers said they had bad sour stomach after eating here. Food is definitely...
Read moreI visited Sancho Panza with high expectations, impressed by the beautiful and well-decorated space. However, the entire experience was quickly ruined by terrible service and food that was borderline inedible. The staff showed a level of disinterest that was almost offensive. I was met with unwillingness, rudeness, and a complete lack of professionalism. It felt like simply being there was an inconvenience to them. Wrong orders, curt replies, and no effort to fix even basic issues. And as if the poor service wasn’t enough, the food was a disaster: flavorless dishes, low-quality ingredients, and careless presentation. For the price they charge, I expected something at least edible – which it definitely wasn’t. Sancho Panza may look good on the outside, but it’s all just a facade. A restaurant that fails at the essentials: respecting the customer and serving a decent meal. Sadly, I won’t be coming back and I do not...
Read moreGo elsewhere to eat or drink! Upon entering the restaurant, several staff walked by me and did not so much as smile or say hello. It took 10 mins before acknowledging and seating us. The restaurant decor was very tacky and music was too loud to enjoy a conversation. Most of the view indoors was obstructed by a dirty plastic barrier. The menu was very long and upon asking the waiter which main courses were fresh (none… all the ones I inquired about were from frozen such as the fish), I decided on just eating appetizers. They were all greasy and not authentic food which a traveller hopes to eat. It was like they were trying to copy American appetizers, but did a bad job. I regretted not stopping in at any of the nearby local restaurants with authentic food and nice views. Service was quite pushy. Washrooms were dirty. I don’t know how anyone eats here, unless they are only having a beer outside / do not have a...
