Sandeman Terrace is a charming restaurant and port wine house that beautifully captures the spirit of Porto. Nestled across the river, it offers a breathtaking view of the city’s iconic skyline, especially at sunset. The location on the main boardwalk makes it easily accessible and perfect for a leisurely stroll before or after your meal.

Read moreWas a Great seeing the Sandeman caves. Really love the port that they produce, was one of the main reasons for visiting Porto on our world trip from NZ.....
Unfortunately the reason I gave 2 stars was due to a bad experience with a staff member. My partner fainted at the start of our tour inside the cave, I managed to get her away from the group to a seat and went to the main counter to find help. I explained to the girl that was there what had happened and asked for water to give to her, She was no help, didnt really care and told me that they didnt provide water............. (This made me panic as I felt alone and had no idea what to do as I was in a foreign country) I went back to my partner and she was unconscious, which made me freak out even more as one would and had to find another staff member who was busy serving drinks. I explained the situation and he could tell I was panicking a fair bit and got me a glass of water for her straight away...... luckily she come to and was ok after 10 mins and we managed to catch the second half of the tour. One would expect better customer service from any...

However, we wanted to see Port in person and a new Lisboeta friend we met over NYE told us this is the one we should go to out of the countless on the same strip.
And we are very glad we did! Getting the background of this very different Port Cellar and seeing the barrels in person was possibly the best we've done yet! Our tour guide was funny and knowledgeable. Plus, the gift shop was very reasonably priced! Such a pleasant surprise coming from the USA where usually trinkets are way over-priced then you can get elsewhere on...
