Trigo Doce — Restaurant in Vila Nova de Gaia

We went to Trigo Doce on our last morning in Porto to grab some baked goods for breakfast and were not disappointed at all!

A lovely traditional bakery and coffee shop which seems to be very popular with the locals of the area. The pastries and other baked goods are really delicious and there is a great selection of sweet and savoury options. The Pasteis de Nata are joined #1 in all of Porto in our humble opinion! Very good espresso, as well, and all at very affordable prices. The staff are friendly and helpful and do everything with a smile. 10/10...

Great variety of daily baked bread, all sorts of salty snacks portuguese, cakes and pastries. The personnel working there, however, are often too tired because of their work schedules lasting for too many hours. Although correct, clean, and friedly, if you are in a hurry, you may get frustrated because you might have to eait while the attending personnel may just be chatting among themselves, for an unannounced break. We were looking for a breakfast place after visiting Jardim do Morro in the morning. Trigo Doce is where the locals would go to . We ordered an espresso, a juice, a plain egg croissant, croissant with chocolate filling, Pastel de Nata and a meat puff. All for 7.25 EUR!
